Pickups final suggestions!

If you want REALLY screaming top end leads & solos, you might want to look into the 500T ceramic, The "Angus Young" Gibson custom humbucker, or the Gibson "Dirty Fingers" humbucker.

If i'm not mistaken, those are the 3 hottest bridge p'ups Gibson makes.

I'm especially partial to the 500T in my Flying-V, and they can be bought fairly cheaply on such online auctions as "ebay" or the Greek version of it, because many players find them either too hot, or too high end oriented.

IF you're going GIBSON, I've ebayed 2 sets of 490R/498Ts

at $100 a SET, instead of $100 EACH. Buyer beware, do your research,

ask questions of seller. I'm happy with mine, Put a set in each of my

EPI LPs... 1 set from a 2004 Gibson LP, the other from a 1992 Gibson LP.

Petros your avatar set-up begs the question "why ask us?"

Invite Angus over for afternoon "tea" and get the word direct from the man himself. I say D-A-M-N!

While the two of you are discussing medical uses, he may even share his Marshall tweaks and other signal chain tricks that you will want if in-the-ballpark isn't close enough. Good luck.

Hit every BLUE NOTE baaaby..., I'm going to play on:-"

angus young uses the stock pickups on the gibson special which are 490t. he uses the stock stuff in the guitar. at least that what i have heard

he has a few "stockers" in his vintage SGs, but most of what he uses now are loaded with his signature p'ups.
