jd500c
Hi all, new here so hope this topic is in the correct place. This person has a Gibson SG standard. Its Heritage Cherry, I am concerned because there is no inlaid logo on the top face of the neck. What do you all think? Thanks in advance for any help. BigKahune
Since it doesn't have neck binding and no headstock inlay, it's not a STD. The SG Special and Junior have a silk screen logo and no binding like that, among other models. Post pics of the whole guitar.
Tman5293
Special Faded. The regular Special has "SG" engraved on the truss rod cover.
Andre S
Special Faded. The regular Special has "SG" engraved on the truss rod cover. Or the TRC could have been changed. Though I would agree with you because the headstock doesn't look glossy like a regular Special.

Diego the guy
alright boy, this right here is a sg special faded, not a standard. 1. note the faded finish 2.no trapezoid inlays 3.no binding 4. and not the right inlayed logo for a std so you better not pay to much

jd500c
Actually the person was asking $500, I hit him with an offer of $250.00 -- he emailed back a few hours later and said it was sold, did not say what he got for it though.
