Not sure if this has been on here before but I think this is a very useful site.

 

I have maintened this theory for years. This guy does a great job of explaining and proving it. A must read for Tone Chasers!

It's been added to my favorites folder, in the "Guitar Tech Info" section.

 

Sure beats my on the fly Seymour Duncan pickup eval form I created....

 

 

I created this to try and find a nice pickup combo to go in my Epi LP. Cycled through the whole audio database on the Duncan website and rated them, then decided the "winners" based on my average scoring.

 

Since I did this, someone has swayed me to go for the Hot Rodded Humbucker set from SD. I believe it's an SH-2 Jazz in the neck and an SH-4 in the bridge.

I like the concept of the 0 capacitance guitar cable and the variable capacitance.

He has a lot more info than just the pick-up database. His Zero Capacitance cables look interesting and for the first time I may actually spend more than 20 bucks on a cable. It would be good to remove that from the tone equation.
