But I saw a television ad for a President's Day sale. Gibson Les Paul Junior for $599. Bet yerass it has no hard shell case. Does it have a gloss finish? Or is it that horrid satin finish the Melody Maker has? Hey, if it's gloss that's a sweet deal. Just don't use the in-store credit they will offer, push, and glorify. Don't buy ANYTHING else they set on the counter with it - and tell you that you need. If they offer you a gig bag, don't take it unless it's FREE. If you can get a hard shell FACTORY case, don't pay over $100. Buy it somewhere else. DO NOT pay for any warranty (it's a Gibson!) or maintenance agreement. The guitar is $600.
