This old gibson is incredibly hard to identify

I'm having the hardest time finding info on this guitar for a friend of mine. Can anyone help?

There are no serial numbers visible. It looks like the keys have been replaced with Kluson deluxe at some point and the bridge has been replaced. Is that a handwritten signature?

No I don't know what it is, I only know whats been replaced because the guitar has only had two owners, father and son. They are the ones that told me what work had been done because they did it themselves and have the receipts showing the work done. The guitar itself is a mystery however because the father died and so did the history other than word of mouth. There is no real indication of what it is.

I think that scroll with the 'good enough' message was 1943-1945 - and it also had that slightly squiffy looking Gibson script then too. So that narrows it down to a Gibson made during the war years '43, '44, '45.

Model - a better picture (less under-exposed) and a couple of angles, would help.....
