Blackstar Amps

Shred Astaire has one, I have played with a few.

Was set to buy one, but IMO, it is more suited toward metal or hard rock, I was looking for a more versatile amp for a lot of stuff.

I don't want to say its a one trick pony, but it is great on the gain channel, clean channel is lacking. At least on the HT Club series

my HT5 head has been played 2-3 hours a day (home use) for over 18 months now with absolutely NO issues.

about 3 months ago I replaced the pre-amp tube w/a Russian Ruby ecc83 High Gain, and it tightened the crunch up quite nicely.

I push it through a 1x12" cab loaded w/a Jensen "vintage ceramic" series speaker.....c12q I think......it makes for an extremely nice blues/honky-tonk rig.

this coming September (when I get my annual "profit-share") i'm really thinking about getting something from their Artisan series.

My local just started carrying them but I haven't played one yet but I hear nothing but good things about the line.

Almost bought me one today....new...then saw a Craiglist ad for a 2-month old one being sold for only $500 (guy needed cash) .....then saw a B-Stock Bogner Alchemist 1x12 on eBay for a great price...and bought it.
