ksdaddy
I hope everyone can put aside Barack vs John, Gibson vs Martin, and Ginger vs Mary Ann and keep the people of south Texas in our thoughts tonight. As of the last commercial break Ike hadn't "hit" yet, but if the predicitons are anywhere close, it's not going to be pretty. I hope I'm overreacting. Gilliangirl
Yeah, it's all over the news up here too. Thery're saying that if you live in specific area, you will surely lose your house. My heart hurts for those folks. I hope a miracle intervenes soon......

jannusguy
it's looking pretty rough over there. the sun's coming up now and i'm afraid of what it's going to reveal. i was talking to jeremy fuller at fuller's vintage guitar in houston on wed. and they were doing what they could to get ready. he was trying to ship my latest purchase before the storm but it didn't make it. it's somewhere in UPS limbo. i feel for those folks. we here in fla. though ike was headed for us. guitarstrummer
I think the warnings from the National Weather Service said it all when they said that "if you live in a one or two story home and do not evacuate, you will face certain death". ballcorner
The most eerie story we heard up here in Canada was the government telling people who wouldn't evacuate to write their Social Security number on their arm with a Sharpie so it would be easier to identify the bodies.
