saturn
The Backstage is a 1982. I haven't determined the age of the Classic VT yet, but the power tubes are made in USA. It's probably 1979. They're a little dusty and dirty, but both work fine. Great deal that included 2 Dunlop Cry Baby Wahs and a bunch of cables.
Lungimsam
I had two Peavey amps (backstage and one other) back in the '80's. Great amps! I think they have phaser and reverb on then. Congrats!
saturn
I had a Classic back in the day too. The one with the built in Phaser. I sold it in the early 90s. This one is slightly different and doesn't have the Phaser. Here's the only photo I have of my old Classic
cookieman15061
The classic was my main gigging amp from 78 through 90. Built like a tank and heavy as heck. Never had a problem and only replaced tubes once. Does it have the Black Widows?

According to a serial number dating method, it was made in either 1970 or 1980. I'm assuming 1980

The Backstage plus was my first decent amp after having a little Squier amp. I really liked it and wish I still had it for that nice comforting nostalgia feeling Matt
