k-dub Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 dude, really? im 24 years old. married to my wife for 2 1/2 years. we drive a 2005 Scion XA, black on black with all the options. it's a 4cyl hatch that gets 37mpg. that sounds pretty gay to me. it must be a very disappointing and sad life when the material objects you own determine your social status and 'manliness'. maybe that's why so many people are on depression meds in this country! grow up. I think there is a real study on how homophobia can be an attribute to latent homosexuality, and I used to tell this to all my friends that would always be saying stuff like "Thats Gay, Your Gay, So Gay, Stupid Gay" you get the idea. I have a couple friends that swing that way and they are still normal people (I dont know any of those flamboyantly gay people aka Hollywood gay) who cares what they do at home in there personal time. If someone is super flamboyant about being gay, it annoys me just as much as the super macho types. Same thing really. A 1996 study conducted at the University of Georgia by Henry Adams, Lester Wright Jr., and Bethany Lohr[1] indicates that a number of homophobic males exhibit latent homosexuality. The research was done on 64 heterosexual men who admitted negative affect toward homosexual individuals. They were assigned to groups on the basis of their scores on the Index of Homophobia (W. W. Hudson & W. A. Ricketts, 1980). The groups did not differ in aggression.[1] Participants, 35 of whom exhibited homophobic traits and 29 who did not. Three tests were conducted using penile plethysmography. While there was no difference in response when the men were exposed to heterosexual and lesbian pornography, there was a major difference in response when the men were exposed to male homosexual pornography. The researchers reported that 24% of the non-homophobic men showed some degree of tumescence in response to the male homosexual video, compared to 54% of the subjects who scored high on the homophobia scale. In addition, 66% of the non-homophobic group showed no significant increases in tumescence after this video, but only 20% of the homophobic men failed to display any arousal. Additionally, when the participants rated their degree of sexual arousal later, the homophobic men significantly underestimated their degree of arousal by the male homosexual video. TROLL!!!! Ok, first of all, who the fcuk are you!? I've never seen you on this forum before and I've been here a while. And secondly, since when does having an opinion make someone a troll? I think you better mind your own god damn business. I simply hate prius'. But because I think they're worthless POS's doesn't mean you have to. I simply look at a car's performance before anything else. If it has good gas mileage too then that's a plus. Houston man 4-5 caryards all in a row with nothing but huge dodge rams F250's Silverados and such. I drive a small car Im married not gay and have 2 kids and generally am about as manly as a guy can get (well I think so) just because a car is economical doesnt make it less manly. The all mighty Lamborgini Murchilago. with its huge engine and power nearly gets beaten on a track by a tiny little mitsubishi Lancer. My car will take most V8's with a 2.0litre in it.
