Californiaman
It will be interesting to see what they come up with. I think he should still be a member of the country music hall of fame, but I'm just an old-Dad-rocker. What do I know?
MissouriPicker
Yeah, Hank Williams certainly made an impression on a lot of people. It's pretty amazing how many rock & roll legends (not even counting country and folk) were influenced by Williams. His music was direct and simple and still relavent today. ....there was only one "Hank."
FirstMeasure
I don't think of Hank as "Country Music", Hanks one of those guys that set out to make music that ended up defining a genre. Carl Perkins did it with Rock and Roll, **** Dale did it with surf. Hank made music, Country Music responded.
Bender 4 Life
back then there wasn't a division between Country & "Pop" music, you just played what you felt, and hoped your audience felt it too. Hank, like Robert Johnson, was a pioneer and an origional "bad-boy" who's life got the better of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF41-iyREzQ&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1IoLMqpRY4&feature=related Hanks' mystique will live on forever..........
