If all the work put into it was legit and really was done, that's quite an impressive job.I'd like to see more detailed pix of the work done on the headstock because that could be a Pandora's box for problems if not done correctly-the same goes for the truss rod.

I'd like to know more about the headstock too. I think the guitar looks pretty damn cool.

There's nothing fishy about it. It is what it says it is. A modified Casino to resemble Macca's. He redid the headstock as he redid the headstock on my Tokai to look like a Gibson.

Jeff is an ultimate professional. The headstock would have been reshaped with new "wings" added. Probably keeping the original headstock inlay but refinishing the rest. I have a tokai acoustic (below) and the headstock was reshaped by Jeff into a Gibson headstock for the correct look and the work is 1. Flawless, 2. Sturdier than anything I've ever seen. The guy is a genius.

This is one of the coolest guitars I've ever seen. If it was for sale closer to home I would not let anyone buy this! The work was done by Jeff "FabGear" Levenson who is one of the world's best at modifying guitars for the mega geeky and his attention to detail is second to none. Hero worship gone too far? In this day and age when just about every Beatles guitar has had a reissue why is it any different to want a Macca Casino? You might argue that McCartney's Casino is a more important part of Beatles history than John's...

Jeff also did this John Lennon "Bed-In" Acosutic that I own and the others that I don't. His paint jobs are phenomenal!

Here's a close up of the headstock I found from Jeff's posts on another forum called Beat Gear Cavern which I would recommend for any Beatles fans and anyone into vintage gear:

"I redid the headstock, stripped and reshot the neck etc (plus changed out parts). I took a modern B7 and converted it to a Selmer version.... complete w added US on the casting."

The headstock is relic'd deliberately to resemble McCartney's.

Wow, those jobs look amazing, any estimate on his prices? That Macca mod on a Casino would be a dream.

Every time I see one of his guitars I'm blown away. Last time I spoke to him was in July and he had a backlog of about a month or two but if anyone is interested in getting in touch with him please send me a PM. Although I have 2 guitars Jeff's worked on (he did the guards, TRC, long jack plate and Selmer styled Bigsby on my V81 replica) I've not had the pleasure of getting anything direct from him but I've heard his prices are very reasonable as I bought the "Bed In" for about the same money as the previous owner put into it and it was a real bargain!

Any idea where he got the pickup on the acoustic? I'd like to find something for my J-45 clone. He does do nice work.

Now that Clarkuss has given us the real story on the Macca Casino I tip my hat to Jeff,he is a mastercraftsman for sure. It's not often where you see so much attention to detail done so flawlessly.

BTW I am one of those "crazies" who spent almost 3 large for the 1965 Casino,I did so not because of a mental deficiency but because I owe so much to John Lennon. It was because of John and George and Paul to a degree that I decided to become a musician but John's influence was even more because I've lived my life by adopting his philosophies and those of George too.Since my guitar is one of the first 50 made it is quite likely too that its value will increase much higher and much more rapidly than that of others in the series. Also people seem to forget that a fair amount of the sale of each guitar goes to underprivileged musicians who don't have the means to further their musical pursuits and this was part of my reason to buy the J.L. 1965 Reissue.
