daveinspain
I've had my ES 339 up for sale for a long time now with no serious buyers... Last night I got an interesting offer for a trade... There's a guy who wants to trade me for a Gretsch Chet Atkins 6120. What do you think?
JazzGtr
For playing or collecting? If for playing, hell no. For collecting only, maybe depending on the condition. Jazz,
BigKahune
. Dave - If you did the trade, IMO, based on value, you'd be getting the better deal. I think it's a good trade. .

L5Larry
I've always wanted either a Chet Atkins or a White Falcon (OR BOTH). I've never owned a Gretsch, and don't really think the "Gretsch" sound is ME, but they sure are pretty. If it were me, I would consider the trade. charlie brown
Pre-Fender Gretsch guitars, were all nicely built, and appointed, BUT..had a much thicker poly finish. Which tended to deaden the tone! The current (Post 2003 Fender takover) Gretsch guitars have a much nicer/thinner finish. Some, even have a "Nitro" finish. So, definitely, check it out, and play it, before you decide. ES-175 (Humbuckers) The Gretsch Chet Atkins (pictured) has Single Coil Dynasonic's. Possibly TV Jones' version. Much "Twangier" than an ES-175. But, if you don't (yet) have that tone, in your collection, could be a match made in Heaven?! Cheers, CB
rocketman
I couldn't part with my 339 for any guitar. Well, actually I never parted with any guitar I've owned. Why not put a Bigsby on it?
Versatile
Why not put a Bigsby on it? Is that Beyonce's new single? V
