damian
A member has a 1998 Zephyr Blues Deluxe Epi.......Three P-90s.....He claims it has 3 tone & 1 volume......(???? ) I'm trying to find a wiring diagram for him....It seems to me that any wiring diagram with these specs would do, as oppossed to finding the actual diagram......Any thoughts ??? Anyone know where to find the actual diagram ??? I've looked a bit, not much luck...Thank you.......... [thumbup] [thumbup] ......
brianh
This is for a Gibson ES-5 (not the Switchmaster) which has the same wiring as a ZBD: http://www.gibson.co...ematics/ES5.PDF Note that it's (4) 500k pots and a .022 cap - 3 vol and 1 master tone. Whitmore Willy
Damian, Brian beat me to it. LOL Nice of you to try and help out Steve but, as Brian stated the indications are 3 vol and 1 master tone. Pic is gone but read description: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/epiphone-zephyr-blues-deluxe-electric-guitar Willy This may also help. It uses Hums instead of P-90s but the diagram should work: http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WDUHHH3T2201/WDU-HHH3T22-01.html (click on diagram for enlargement)
RobinTheHood
I thought they had three volumes and one tone control like the Wildkat. All of the retailer websites claim the controls to be this way, but I'm not positive that is correct. I'll check the catalogs in a few. EDIT: Yep, 3 volumes and 1 tone control. brianh
EDIT: Yep, 3 volumes and 1 tone control. I get confused about this myself, but the diagram and the Epi website are correct, it's 3 vol and 1 master tone. I have confirmed this on my ZBD... damian
Wonderful !!!!!!! Thank you guys.......I figured it would have been three volumes one tone like the Riviera P-3, and the 3 PU S.G.s and LPs............Thanks again.......... [thumbup] ........... Steven Tari
Will the wiring for the 3 P-90s still be the same even though the middle pickup is reversed from the other two?

Parabar
Although the ZBD has 3 volumes and one master tone, it is a different configuration than the Wildkat. The Wildkat's wiring takes a page from Gretsch, with an individual volume control for each pickup and a master volume, so you can blend the volume of the two pickups to taste, then increase or decrease the mix. The ZBD, like the Gibson ES-5 on which it was based, has an individual volume control for each pickup, so you can use any combination of pickups with any relation to each other. Steven Tari
WOW! I've never played around with the knobs like that. All my stuff is about the same settings. So I'm going to get a little drink and sit down and do a little experimenting myself. :o
