Aoresteen
You don't see many Epi Les Paul Deluxes (LPD) so I thought I'd show my triplets: The Gold Top: It is bone stock - no changes The Red Sparkle: It has upgraded Seymour Duncan mini humbuckers, Schaller straplocks and Schaller tuners. The Mars Music Blue Sparkle: The Epi LPD truss rod cover changed. The first version looked like this: Later versions had this cover: I modded the heck out of my blue LPD: Theses mods are based loosly on what Pete Townshend did to his LPD in the 70's. The center pickup is a DiMarzio distortion. I routed out a new cavity for it: Mods includ: Seymour Duncan mini-humbuckers, Schaller tuners, Schaller Strap locks, coiltaps on all pickups via push pulls, phase switch via push pull, DiMarzio pickup, and mini toggles to control which pickups are on/off. To make it louder I installed DiMarzio knobs that go to 11: It's a fun guitar to play. :)
Hungrycat
I used to have one of the Blue Sparkle LPDs. Picked it up at a yard sale for $75, because it was pretty beat up. I ended up giving it to my dad, who traded it for some bass stuff. It was a good little guitar despite being ugly as sin.
RobinTheHood
You definitely dont see those very often...and you have three! Awesome! Those mods are killer! Great job on the routing. I love the mini-toggles. Thanks for sharing. Its nice to see uncommon guitars like this, especially with great mods!

It was the first color released and usally has the Type 1 truss rod cover. I'm just not big on black guitars so I haven't bothered to track one down. The goldtop was very hard to locate - and expensive :) ! The blue color was a special run for Mars Music only.

dxdgenert
How 'bout this? http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/msg/2696460740.html Looks like pink, purple'ish, or magenta. Think it is worth $200?

Think it is worth $200? It's the regular red sparkle finish - just a bad photo. I'd offer him $175 and see what he says.
