neilpanda Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Ah what a day...my lunch hour started with a Christmas carolling discussion and somehow ended up becoming the incarnation of a prog rock band. It also looks like we've got our first album on the way. Going to be self-titled (De Grabity) also has a few silly sounding songs, we'll get back to writing lyrics tomorrow, and hopefully getting the instrument parts done on the weekend. well, this has been the most productive Ive been with music in months!
damian Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Oh my !!!!! A progressive C.D. project album all about "Silient Fred".........?????? .....
krock Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 What are your inspirations? I tried to do a few YES style songs but no one I know is as good as Rick on keyboards
bonzoboy Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I've been into prog rock since its infancy in the late 60s with groups like Gryphon,White Noise,Audience, King Crimson,Emerson Lake & Palmer etc.Prog rock is one of the most complex and challenging forms of music today but sadly it is neglected for some reason by mainstream musicians. It would behoove all musicians to broaden their musical horizons and give prog rock bands and artists a listen.Lots of luck with De Grabity Teh Beast.
