CaptainNemo68
I love Gordon's music! Sundown, Carefree Highway, and the haunting song The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Listen to the lyrics, that one will put a tear in your eye.
JellyWheat
I was fortunate enough to see Gord twice during his 70s heyday. The first time was in the summer of 1975, with Terry Clements and Red Shea on guitars, and the superb Pee Wee Charles on Pedal Steel. One of the best concerts I've attended. http://www.lightfoot.ca/evoluton.htm I never saw Terry Clements in action. I attended three Lightfoot concerts in the sixties, when Red Shea was the only other guitarist on stage. I suppose that's why I credit Red with being the original and definitive sideman associated with Gordon Lightfoot... J/W

milod
I guess in ways my favorite Lightfoot tune was Early Morning Rain. And JW is, as I recall, younger than I am. <chortle> Younger than my little sis, even. Not that, after a certain point, a cupla years here or there makes that much difference to the wrinkles and I don't think either of us are quite ready to be dead yet. m
Malchik
I've seen him twice these past few years. His voice has aged, but he still puts on a great performance.

heymisterk
Very good singer/songwriter. I always thought that "If You Could Read My Mind" was very nice and excellent lyrics.
