plagueskill
Why does an Elitist Dot go for about $750 http://sacramento.craigslist.org/msg/2800283138.html And an Elitist Casino goes for about $1000 on average? Casino Elitist's are the only ones that are still in production if i'm correct so you'd think that it'd be cheaper.... Anyone had experience with Elitist Dot's? crust
he says he is asking half of what he paid, so he payed (originally) $1500 for that sounds like a pretty good deal for a buyer if the guitar is in good shape
RaSTuS
Very nice guitar judging by the pics, very good price too.
plagueskill
Those pics are making me want it really bad..... My choice is now between this, an American Standard Strat for $625, or a Gibson SG classic for $725....Decisions decisions...,.

LOL, there always seems to be more guitars needed/wanted than money permits, it's a real bugger isn't it. BTW: the SG Classic would be very tempting to me too, the Am Stds come up all the time though, so it'd be a toss-up between the Elitist and SG for me. crust
Well, seeing how this is the Epiphone forum, I'd say "get the Epiphone" then post some pic's :D

Thats a really good way of choosing, I'd easily go for one of those, just the flatter fretboard and slimmer neck kinda make me lean towards the strat... damian
I'd go for the Elitist Dot........If you choose it, move fast.......Gibson and Epi SGs are always around used, often for quite cheap..... Same with MIA Strat Standards.....................Just my opinion......................

BillyGibson
I don't have any experience with Elitist Dots. But I do know enough to get that if it plays as well as it looks. It's gorgeous. What was the question?

raymeedc
Also, everybody makes a semi like the Humbucking Dot, not many make a hollowbody like the P90 Casino..... not as much competition with other similar models allows the Epiphone market to set it's own parameters apart from the multitude of 335 Humbucking clones. plagueskill
Here's another one with some upgrades, so is the one I was looking at really a good price? http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/msg/2801387671.html
Gunner
Yes, the first one is a good price, and considering the upgrades, the second one is a good price too, if you value those upgrades. The stock humbuckers in the Elitist are quite good though, much better than standard Epiphone pickups. I have that same exact same guitar (stock) and have gigged with it many times and not felt the need to change the pickups. That first guitar is in better condition than mine and I don't think I would let mine go for $750. Hope that helps.
