The Mexican suitor? Grupo Bimbo. Do you remember the cartoon characters used to sell theses yummies? Each treat had its' own character. Do you remember these guys: Twinkie The Kid http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=P9HN-smrkLc&feature=endscreen Captain Cupcake Fruit Pie the Magician > > Magician < < Chief Big Wheels Chauncey Choco-dile Who wouldn't love chocolate dipped Twinkies? EVOL!
http://www.google.com/gwt/x?wsc=bf&u=http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/17/15245611-mexican-company-bimbo-may-be-eyeing-twinkies%3Flite&ei=1BGpUML1IpvkxAL1s4DwDA This is the foot in the door for Bimbo to get to the non Latino populous. I live in a very Mexican neighborhood and I remember laughing when I first saw the brand name. Not sure if it's a Spanish word or family name, but they have to know it's a very silly word in American English; on par with the Nova (no go in Spanish) car being released in Latin America. A week ago, I was headed home when I saw a panel van cross the intersection in front of me. It was a "Bimbo" truck.
