j45nick Posted November 19, 2012 Share Posted November 19, 2012 Just saw that Gibson, for the first time, will have a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade this Thursday. The centerpiece of this float--I kid you not-- is a 50' (15.24m) Les Paul guitar. Now we know where all the rosewood for fretboards went earlier this year........ (For those of you outside the US, this is a huge holiday parade down New York's Central Park West and 6th Avenue.) Lets hope they let that nitro finish acclimate before taking it out into the cold....... What I want to know is why they chose the Les Paul rather than the J-45......
