duluthdan
Looks sort of nekkid without a sunburst.

Gruffchris
I like it, someone had a J-35 on here, natural with a fire stripe pick guard and I really thought that was a good looking guitar :).
62burst
I like it. I'd seen this one on Gbase recently, & wondered if Gibson was not only borrowing style/design ideas from J-45's across the years, but expanding that to a tip-of-the-hat to the J-35 with it's natural top & deco-inspired pickguard as well. Now, if they'd just go one step further & offer a Banner TV with maple b/s, 5-pc maple lam neck w/ small rectangular bridge ... :)!
j45nick
Why don't they just call it a J-50 True Vintage, since that's what it is?

If there's an extra allusion here, I suspect it's less to the J35 and more to the very rare batch of original banner J45 naturals from 1942, like the one that Zombywoof picked up recently. I bet Gibson would make you your fantasy maple banner if you custom ordered it...
Mojorule
Why don't they just call it a J-50 True Vintage, since that's what it is? Because it's the Zombywoof 1942 J45 Natural TV signature model, Nick.
