heymisterk Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Playing 12 Days of Christmas in a sing-a-long with my 6th graders at lunch. Me with the Telecaster. I am aware that we sound terrible, but it sure was fun. Something about the enthusiasm and innocence of the students gives me solace after last week's tragedy. I love my students, and would do anything to keep them from harm. Oh...You should have seen the response when I busted out "Iron Man" later...
Guest Farnsbarns Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I've had plenty to be cheerful about recently and as a British non-parent I feel somewhat removed from the recent tragedy, as tragic as it was, but that definitely lifted the misery of computing on a wet Saturday morning. Thanks!
Blueblooded Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Very nice to see all the smiles and participation! It even has me smiling . Good job!!
hellion102792 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 The other night my dad and I filmed a choir performance for a local church done by K-8 students. As the choir director said at the end, "I think after the tragic events of a few days ago this is just what everybody needed, the kids did wonderful and it was a brief return to innocence in these crazy times we're living." But that's a great video, I wish I had teachers like you in middle school who would've had actual fun with us.
Riffster Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Thanks for posting. This is how things should be. I think just about everybody in America has had a heavy heart for the last week.
heymisterk Posted December 22, 2012 Author Posted December 22, 2012 Thanks for all the kind words! It is funny: It's the little things like this that the kids tend to remember...
