  1. Richie Havens at Woodstock, That was the fastest guitar playin' I ever saw.
  2. I saw this. It was ok. Almost a modern approach to War of the Worlds. Not usually my thing but it was very well thought out. Like CaliforniaMan's OP, I loved Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I've never seen better TV. I saw it all a while back though. Now I'm watching Dexter (up to 3rd ep) and Ripley (also 3rd ep). Ripley is in black & white and the scenes are beautiful. I have watched nearly every series of Car S.O.S. Its a late night watch for me. I wish there was more Taskmaster available. We've seen all 6 series on NFlix, but there's loads more been made.
  3. I turned down a job as a bar cellarman once I realised everything involved (I was still very young). I have family and friends that have run pubs as landlords. Its demanding work! Especially when the patrons get unruly. I did a quick search for Golden Crown in Henley, but didn't find anything young enough to qualify Oddly enough I went to the USA in 1976 and returned in 1977. I recall the lamp posts were painted with the Stars & Stripes in Baltimore for the Bicentennial celebrations. Those uppity colonists eh? 🇺🇸
  4. I have altered a number of cases to make them a better fit and safe for purpose. Nothing fancy, just covered foam inserts and some remedial neck support. This Hiscox case was too big for the LP DC Std. You can see the guitar would slide to and fro in it, Its since been altered.
  5. Whoops! I meant to quote Yorkie! Sorry PrairieDog. Anyway Cherry's family bought us another 'London Experience' again this year. Normally I avoid London. That said, everyone we met there put themselves out to be really friendly and helpful.
  6. I'll give it a look see. Thanks. I'm also looking for info on the 1812 war.
  7. Me too. I have to go to London this year. I will try to visit.
  8. The American Revolutionary War - Stephen Conway I'm sure I knew far less about it than my American friends but this was a revelation to me. Really surprising stuff in there. I will delve into more US history soon.
  9. I used to get into such hot water using this sort of dialogue
  10. It needs a title. 'When Gibson & Schecter went head to head'. 'Gibson assumes the male role'
