  1. So I guess you danced with the devil and did the deal. Looks primo. I had a Merlot LP Trad Pro II with a flame top. Dig a red axe.
  2. I'm holding out until they make Uber Slinky.
  3. My motto is if there not played they gotta go. That is why BB is gone, the D-28 and the D-18, the Guild, LP's, SG,s Strats, Teles. All nice, but not interested in electrics any more and I know the 28 and 18 would sit and collect dust after getting the 41. Work happens when you want to eat food and have a roof over your head. Did you see those colorful Firebirds. I can't stand the non reverse ones. I like the ones you have. the ones Johnny Winter played. The red one looked tight.
  4. I know. I've never seen on in person, but on the net I've seen pics.
  5. You can't tell me those guys have never seen a Bigsby mounted to a V.
  6. I regret not seeing Zappa in 81 when Via was in his band. My guitar regret. Not getting into acoustics sooner.
  7. At least there was a barrier. And I hope you were both clothed?
  8. I have had (have) several Martin's. Gone are a D-35, 2 - D-15M's, a D-18, and a D-28. I currently own D-41, 000-28, J12-16GT and a D-15M. To me that's yukky looking.
  9. Gregg was also good at marrying Cher. But not so got at staying married to her.
  10. On Reverb I've solded 4 guitars (one was local pickup), one Amp (local pickup) and a bunch of pedals. It has lower fees than flea bay. I have sold or traded everything now and what I have left are all keepers.
  11. The day has finally arrived. Tracking says what we all love to hear "Out For Delivery". I think it could have gone faster by the old Pony Express.
  12. In the last few months I sold my Guild JF-30, Martin D-18 and Martin D-28 and traded the D-35 in for the D-41. Down to 4 acoustics and 1 electric bass. I am pretty much done. After strumming a D-41 I could go to a 42 or 45, but the 41 is damn uber.
  13. Ok. Yeah its modal drone stuff on that and Suite Judy too.
  14. So I got a CSN tab book the other day. And I know the tuning for Love The One You're With (actually a song off Stephen Stills first solo album) had a alternate tuning and the tuning like on all tab books is on the first page in the upper left. But what am I supposed to do on the 5th and 3rd string tuned to C with a down arrow? Go to C then half way to B since they are a half step apart? I'm stumped.
  15. I recently bought a Martin D-41. It has gold (not a fan of gold hardware). They are Schaller Grand Tune open back tuners with the screw down nut, not the press in grommet. If anyone wants to trade like for like, I am open to trade for chrome or nickel or what ever silver is for my gold ones.
  16. It will be delivered tomorrow. What an ordeal. Last update was it left Fayetteville, Arkansas on its way to Arizona.
  17. I can see it from here and yes it definitely is, unless its not. Call Gibson, look at the pots to see if there Gibson, or we need pics.
  18. You have to just experiment and see what you like. You could try flatwound stings.
  19. PO just up dated the tracking. 9 days and it made it from Newport News, VA to Memphis. Unreal. I can drive to Memphis in about 10 -12 hours. It must be going by mule pack.
  20. That is a great statement. I usually see my guitars in the light too. In the dark they are a lot harder to see.
