  1. It must need to slide into some changing base you don't have. And they just sent you to AC to DC adapter. Call them (Gibson) and explain your delema. Or is there a hole in the mini-tune for the adapter end where the battery is installed. Come on Big Bill there are at least 2 zingers you can get from my reply.
  2. If you don't have beer and smores when camping then you are just sleeping outside.
  3. Depends on what you need and how uber fancy you want to go. Here is what I got Fret Rocker - $10 and they can be had for cheaper Black Diamond File from hardware store - $10 Furniture Sanding Kit with really fine grit from 1500 to 12000 Grit - $15 110, 220 and 320 Grit Sand Paper - $5 pack at the hardware store. I stole some from work. Strait Edge Ruler 18" or longer- I got mine at Stew Mac. A little more expensive, but it will be dead strait. $50 Nut Files - I got a nice set made in Japan - $80 Feeler Gauge - Get whatever gauge you prefer for setting the height at the first fret for when you need to file your nut slot - $10. I only play acoustic to setting intonation is pretty easy the manufactured does that. All I have to do is sand the saddle to where I like it with 220 grit sandpaper.
  4. Well lets bring them back, oh wait we live in a kinder gentler everyone gets a trophy so no one is left out world.
  5. Love them with graham crackers and chocolate when camping. Its the snowflakes that are the issue.
  6. Sound like you need to do what I did. Do you have a fret rocker? When I did my D-35 (a brand new guitar) I had to take care of about 13 of the 20 frets. Remember a fret can be high in the middle or end or anywhere in-between and the whole fret might not be high. It might only be 1/3 or 1/2 or 1/4. Depends on how heavy handed the guy wielding the hammer is that day. If you do need to rock your frets use a Sharpie to mark the high spot and file it until its where you want it. You have to rock it, then file, then rock it again and check it and repeat. Like washing your hair, Rinse - Lather- Repeat.
  7. Is your fret issue the corner or the whole fret? For what I did I just bought a black diamond file form the hardwear store and snapped the top piece off about 3 to 4 inches and leveled the frets. You gotta go really light and slow, unless you are filing the corner. I will take it to a pro for the ends. The file has to be big enough to ride over a few frets so you don't mar the fret board.
  8. I didn't watch it last night except for the monologue but if anybody saw Ricky Gervais's monologue for the Golden Globes it was hysterical he basically told Hollywood to go stick it everybody was mortified.
  9. I had a BB King and played it through my Fender Deville and Mesa Transatlantic TA-15 cause it was what I owned.
  10. To quote Steve Martin "Excuse Me" ... stands... what about the cases.
  11. I owned one of those. Mine was ebony. Great guitar. The serial number is supposed to look like they did way back then.
  12. I'm a wise archer and usually joke but when people want info I do answer to the best of my knowledge.
  13. I put the D-18 up for sale on Reverb just before half time of the Chickens/Eagles game and it sold already. Not its time to take pics of the D-28. The only thing Gibson has going for itself is they can paint a guitar top nicer than Martin. And they have Mark Agnesi.
  14. That is not on the For Sale page only Buy It Now. Some people make offers anyway, but a lot don't.
  15. I will let my son and step son play them. Oh wait, yeah there kids and just love spending time with their parents, so I prolly really won't have to.
  16. That is horrible. I hope everyone got out and if he had pets they got out or were not home.
  17. Thanks. Like you all my Gibbys are gone. Some I think about but don't regret it for a second. I played a real Firebird today that I would not pay $500 for. I played a LP Trad Pro V last week and the flame top looked like plastic and the finish between where the binding and body are, were was so off it was horrible. And don't get me started on the J-45's. I want to like Gibby acoustic but they (Gibson) makes it hard when I A/B them next to a Martin. I guess its just me. I'm the problem.
  18. I went TAD to a Coast Guard Cutter when the Earthquake hit Haiti. A guy had one one the ship. It was absolute trash and sounded like a piece of poo.
  19. The thread started in '16. Rev had a lot of guitars and amps. Is he okay, still alive?
  20. You will take slack from time to time depending on what you say. I certainly do. I know the rules and try not to cross them most times. Say what you feel as long as it is in good taste. Most forums promote a family friendly atmosphere, but lets be honest how many 16 year olds are on a guitar forums. I am pretty sure most of us are adults here. The youth of today are on Xbox or trying to get famous on You Tube and Snap Chatting pics of their privates to their girlfriends or boyfriends.
  21. Like Shultz, I see nothing. Seriously cant see the pics. I do see the pic of the back of a naked woman and a 175.
  22. My dreams were my ticket out. So I am definitely selling the D-28 and D-18 (the 18 is already on Reverb and the 28 I will be taking pics and posting prolly tonight). Keeping the D-15M (my beater and go anywhere I don't care guitar), 000-28 (a really cool small body guit and I will take this anywhere too) and the J12-16GT (a present from my wife and only 12'er) and of course the 41. The 18 and 28 are fantastic but I don't need them I just wanted them. I'm not a pro or a gigger so really I don't need any.
