  1. Yeah that Murph guy seems to think J-45 or nothing. Played them and not wowed by them especially for the price. Now I'm prolly gonna start a fight or something. I did own a J-15 and for the price it was decent, but it is what it is, and the one I had you could tell and I understand at that price, Gibson doesn't put the effort into it a J-45 gets. I will say one thing. Martin can not finish a top to save its life. Gibbys are far superior it the burst department as compared to I think the die hard Martin guys say they are called shade tops.
  2. I used to live about 50 miles south of SF and have been to SF half a billion times. If you go there you will have fun. Driving the hills is no joke. Make sure you have an automatic and not a stick shift, if you rent a car. Best sourdough bread on the plant. Its like bagels in NY. They don't compare anywhere else.
  3. Mutha if you want a cowboy hat like a real Stetson with a lot of X's on it be prepared to drop some cash.
  4. Or to hide your hair when lazy and don't feel like combing it. When I wear one its usually the college my wife went to ECU. No one ever heard of the one I graduated from and they have no athletic programs.
  5. I did not post it in the Acoustic side, cause its not a J-45 and I didn't want to get beaten up.
  6. Thanks its getting new strings right now. Gonna set it up before the playoff games tomorrow.
  7. Traded my D-35 and some cash I made off of selling my Guild JF-30 for this. A 2019 Martin D-41. I don't know what to say.
  8. Grand Funk just got to play poker with him. He approved your hat purchase.
  9. I'm not. If they are not your cuppa tea, get it their English, so be it. They were just a little group that got kind of popular. Made some good music and the rest is history. I could have done a favorite Allman Brothers album thread, but I didn't. And the answer is Eat A Peach. The Fillmore one is pretty amazing too. Sadly only got to see them once, and it was when Warren was in the group. I have seen Jack Pearson in Nashville. Sat about 5 feet from him. He tore it up on and Epi V, Mexican Tele and a Gibby SG Special. He played Elizabeth Reed. B0ner. Or we could discuss - What pickups should I buy, What Les Paul is better, How much does my guitar weight, What J-45 should I buy, Does this look infected ect ect?
  10. I needed an interpreter. Thanks for the photo.
  11. I know people slag them and people worship them. I listen to them. The stars and planets aligned for those guys. It was the right time, with the right producer and the right 4 guys who were a damn good group and were willing to push the envelope of what was being done and take advice and listen Sir George. The 5th and 6th Beatle is George Martin and Studio. And Yoko did not break The Beatles up, The Beatles broke The Beatles up. How would you like to spend 8 to 10 years up the @sses of 3 other people constantly day in and day out? And have everyone wanting a piece of you and being their cash cow? To this day I still get a stiffy when I drop the needle and hear the sound of the plane engine and I know that album back to front and back again.
  12. I know what a bunch of hacks. What did they ever do except change music? And make what many consider some of the best recorded music of all time. At 21ish Macca writes Yesterday and it is the most covered song of all time. What hit did you write at 21?
  13. I dig those inlays on that G-45. Something other than a dot is damn cool.
  14. I owned one and it seemed heavier that LP's I've owned. I have never weighed my guitars, so pound wise, not sure.
  15. I bought a used SG Special for $600 a while back. That is a rock machine. I preferred it to the Std. I had. Steve loves his Firebird V. If your gonna get a bird make it a neck through. Upper fret access on an SG is killer.
  16. How was it listening to all those girls screaming?
  17. Kids (in general) want Ibanez shredder guitars not acoustics. I never see anyone under 40 in the acoustic rooms of any guitar store ever. They are always plugged in to the biggest amp playing the fast notes.
  18. Yeah but half was George Martins orchestrated score and not the lads. The Beatles stuff was great.
  19. Saw a LP Trad Pro V today in CG. The QC was terrible and it was 2k. Everyone is calming Gibson is back. I don't see it.
  20. I think no, but I have been wrong at least once.
  21. MMT is good. I hate Flying and Blue Jay Way. Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane were singles from before Pepper (lazy). The title track is dy-no-mite though. Rich Man is great. Hello Goodbye is just alright. All You Need Is Love is good, and another sing along. My first post was the most correct - The White Album. But seriously there is no right or wrong. Its The Beatles.
  22. That was when the album as a art form started.
