Hello and welcome! I don't have any tuning issues with my LP at all with the factory machine heads. I use standard tuning, and I also do lot of bends and very crude vibratos. Maybe the nut is sticking on Your guitar? That's typical for new Gibsons. A proper setup and/or some graphite powder will solve this issue. Cheers... Bence

Hello Wild_Rose! Your guitar is beautiful (I think I've already said this). I'd put that pickguard back. I think it not only looks better that way, but more importantly it prevents the guitar from being sratched badly by the pick. On these darker colored intruments, those marks are so visible. I had a black Studio once and it was so disappointing to see these ugly scratches. Best wishes to Hellas! Cheers... Bence

Yours seems to have the standard Nashville TOM, like my 50's Tribute, but this one has something seen on the Epiphones. Interesting!

I was seriously thinking about buying this guitar, even with this flaking issue. If I could purchase the right BASF paint - I would refinish it. My only concern here is the bridge. Yours seems to have a different bridge, wondering which is the stock one.

Strange! I own a much cheaper version of a Goldtop, a Studio 50's Tribute. I have it since the end of last year and kept it in that really cheap gigbag until a week ago when I finally bought a hardcase. I live in an old house which is under continous (lifelong) reconstruction, with drastical environmental changes happening all the time: I do paint the walls on weekends, so there's extreme humidity conditions inside. Now it's very hot here - nearly 40 celsius degrees in shade...and I have no issues on my guitar, neither with the finish nor with other parts. It was checked by a luthier 2 weeks ago (what I regularly do) and it has no issues at all.
