  1. I'm only buying Christmas presents made in my home country (which is the U.S.A.) this year.  It's good for jobs, good for the economy and I'm tired of supporting certain Communist economies. I realize that for some products, some of us may have no choice, but I DO have a choice for this Christmas season.

Unfortunately, no one in my family will be getting a new Gibson for Christmas this year from me. Maybe next year. They weren't THAT good....

I'm also going to buy local as much as possible, and have already gotten some nice Case bone handled pocket knives locally.

Feel free to list any ideas that are made in your home country that are good gift ideas. Here are just a few that I've used to get started.

Case, (some) Spyderco, (some) Buck knives and then there are Channellock and Snap-On tools for the guys since Craftsman has jumped the pond., American Benchmade has some cool stuff, leather wallets, belts and such. Charmed Life and Blue Chip picks. GHS strings. Round House jeans are still made in U.S.A. I'm still researching jewelry, jewelers and such and must be careful here....

    What ya got?

Probably cost more to fix it than it’s worth. But, how do you put a price on a gift your wife gave you 30 years ago? Fix it & play it with love…

    Bingo.

And gift yourself for living another 30 years. I do.

My next one, I'll be 90....

  3. I was a board op at a satellite network radio station (Good Time Rock & Roll) in the early 90's in Louisiana and always kept "Flying" queued up in a cd player in case of a "dead air" emergency.

    I always dug it.

  4. A man in Alberta wakes up one morning to find a bear on his roof.

So he looks in the yellow pages and sure enough..there's an ad for "Alberta Bear Removers."
He calls the number and the man says he'll be over in 30 minutes.
The bear remover arrives and gets out of his van. He's got a ladder, a baseball bat, 12-gauge shotgun, and a mean heavily scarred old pit bull.

"What are you going to do?" the homeowner asks.

"I'm going to put this ladder up against the roof, then I'm going to go up there and I’ll knock the bear off the roof with this baseball bat. When the bear falls
off the roof, the pit bull is trained to grab his testicles and not let go. The bear will then be subdued enough for me to put him in the cage in the back of the van."

He then hands the shotgun to the homeowner.

"What's the shotgun for?" asks the homeowner.

    ---

"If the bear knocks me off the roof, shoot the dog."

Marco your temperature and humidity levels are at good levels for your guitars, if they remain in this range I see no need for any humidification

Bingo. If your house is at 51% you don't need anything. That's fine.

I never use them, my room varies, but my guitars go outside often and to many different environments and it balances out to an average 40-60% and I never even think about it much anymore.

    Bruce Springsteen is a puke,

    Indeed.

And his first 2 albums were a mainstay of "open format" underground radio back in the day.

    Then he went all pop.

And then after success, he turned all political and I can't even stomach the stuff I used to like because of it.

Oh well, he's never gotten a dime of my money, not that he ever needed it...

  7. A young woman was pulled over for speeding.

An Oregon state trooper walked over to her car window while flipping open his ticket book.

The young woman said, "I bet you're going to sell me a ticket to the State Troopers Ball."

He replied, "Oregon StateTroopers don't have balls."

There was a moment of silence.

And then he flipped closed his ticket book, tipped his hat, walked back to his patrol car, and left.

I had the same thing with another movie stream company - got the free trial, watched the Yellowstone series as soon as I could - cancelled it but they still charged me for the next month. I emailed a number of times, no reply, so I actually rang them and vented! Still got charged and proclaim to everyone that they will never, ever, ner, ever get my cash ....blah, blah....

So it is obviously how they all operate.

And now I just HAD to watch the Peter Jackson  Get Back doco, was sensational 6 hours and now I have Disney Plus😝, no free trial and lots of kid shows to watch.

    BluesKing777.

I'll never see Get Back as long as Disney owns it.

    Ever.

  9. It's a fine line, for sure.

I'm pretty damned conservative, however the middle class gets clobbered under both systems and a good union has merit.

It shouldn't take 4 part time jobs to raise a family.
