Man, we drove the southern half, from Gatlinburg (Cherokee) up to Galax, Monday and the colors are PERFECT.
If you have the time, don't forget this national treasure.

The one's in that picture were made by GHS.
I've been using GHS strings since those were discontinued.
Now the Vintage bronze.

When I was a kid we had a Harmony acoustic with f-holes and a floating bridge and a pickup.
It was a favorite at jams because of good action and loud volume, plugged or unplugged. It was demolished in a violent flurry of blood.
I have no idea what it was.

"Oh yeah?" quipped her husband, "What did he say about your forty-five year old a ss?" She said,
"Your name never came up in the conversation."

A group of Native Americans are sitting around a campfire
A young brave asks the others, "When will I be given a name?"
"When you distinguish yourself in the tribe," answers Thundering Buffalo.
"Then the elders will recognize you with a name," says Rides By Moonlight.
"It is the proudest moment of a young brave's life," says Silent Wolf.
"Eh, it's overrated," says Chits In Breechcloth...- 1

I was given a bag of peanuts which was blessed by the Pope....
I gave them away. I don't like religious nuts.

Yoko was good with money. She once sold a cow for $250,000.00.
You don't hear her squawking about being broke.
She squawks on her recordings and calls it art.
And sells it.

I've worn this one since my dad died and I retired the other one. This one is a Powerlock. It's pretty beat up now, I may get the new Leatherman Arc that just came out.

My old bandmate and acoustic duo partner has a really old Swiss Army Knife he keeps in his gig bag. I've known him nearly 30 years so that thing has to be older than dirt.
He fixes everything with it.

I've carried a multi-tool for decades. Construction, demolition, lumberjacking, hunting, cabin building and being a gigging musician has proven these things to be quite valuable in a pinch,
This old SOG was my second, I wore the first one out and my Dad was a gun dealer and had it replaced with this one. It's sentimental so it now stays in the house.
What you got?

Most of us know re-mixing the icons is like goin' in changing details on a Van Gogh or so.
Ahh, Vincent could have used a slightly warmer turquoise there, let's fix that. That's kind of my opinion and one reason I've never bought a re-mix. Well, except Let It Be Naked. But it was supposed to be Naked.
Giles may be a genius and all that, but John never actually approved those changes, did he?

We can only hope.
Billy Strings, Mollie Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Wyatt Ellis, Sierra Ferrel and crew are bringing back bluegrass to the youth and it's a good thing.

I think they were going for about $500. They looked nice but the quality and sound couldn’t compete with the Loar, Eastman and Kentucky brands.
I played one that was pretty darned good. Mandolins are expensive.
A guy I jam with weekly has a Kentucky and man, that thing is a sweety. It doesn't have the overtones and resonance that my Gibson has, but it's a really nice mandolin for the money.

That's a beaut for sure, Cougar.
I'm jealous...

I thought 64 had a French horn, but I guess it was 3 clarinets.

I have a Carvin X100B half stack and it’s a badass amp. You get 100W of EL34 goodness, a parametric EQ, spring reverb, and a push pull pot that engages a sortof boost or overdrive mode.
A very cool amp that Zappa used, as I recall.
Probably explains the Vai connection.

Actually, I did buy a house in a bar once in Arizona...

My laptop was making funny noises today, it sounded like it was singing...
Probably because it's a Dell.

Women say they like a man who is "funny" and "spontaneous"
But you knock on their bedroom window at midnight wearing a clown costume and suddenly it's all screaming and throwing things and police sirens.

True dat. I never got to ride it, I had a few 750 Honda's, a Suzuki 750 Intruder and an 850/4 Suzuki (shaft drive) with a Windjammer many years ago. Never had Harley money, most of my riding was done out west, or Louisiana.
