I'd pay £1M for the beast like a shot if I had it. Even if I had to liquidate.

My first thought was it's too cheap. I think it would go much higher at auction but I'd love to own a 59 and that is one of the best known 59s there is. Pretty sure someone with cash can enjoy that for a few years and get every penny back, and some, further down the line.

I'd lend it to any legendary LP player who wanted to gig it as well.

Its no longer listed..  And its just gone, no sold sign...

Some are saying Joe B is gonna buy it as he apparently borrows it whenever he is in the country...  Either that or it was just there to help advertise the listing maybe?????

So it doesn't just rain there all the time? Must be one of those Urban Legends.

Not all the time but A LOT...  And when its not raining its usually dull and grey... So yeah, the rare bit of summer we get each year is precious.

Also depends where you are.. Apparently it rains even more in Scotland.

  3. Well thankfully the weather is awesome over here at the moment..  Quite rare..  Lovely blue skies, temps of about 27 degrees C (about 80F) and a nice cool breeze..

Just doesnt get better.. Perfect summer weather..

Last year it went up to 40 degrees. Hopefully it just stays like it is, that was way too much.

  4. Ive never tried an acoustic build because I know how hard they are compared to building an electric. Id need a bunch of tools or to make some and a whole loads of templates and jigs and id just rather buy one  🙂

A bolt on kit is easy... Not much for you to do but put it all together.

True.... But I have purchased from sellers with 0 feedback on more than a few occasions and the package was delivered and it matched the description.

What's the worst that can happen other than getting a refund. Plus if the instrument does show up I'm gonna sell it for 3x the buying price.

Agreed...  I wouldnt..  But I did buy my 336 P90 online..  The seller had an ok rating its just I dont do that generally, it was my first and only purchase where I hadnt played it first...  It was also  a bargain at £2600 which is why I took the risk.  As it goes I have found an issue recently with it but nothing I cant fix..  I dont know if it came that way from the factory but it has a worse cut nut on it than any Gibson I have ever owned even my comparatively cheap 60s Studio.

If AI is so smart, why isn't it called Actual Intelligence instead of Artificial Intelligence?

    Artificial:

a: lacking in natural or spontaneous quality

    an artificial smile

    an artificial excitement

    b: IMITATION, SHAM

    artificial flavor.

Things that make you go hmmmm

AI didnt name itself, we did..  We are the stupid ones  😄

And it probably should be called non biological intelligence or maybe just digital intelligence

I saw one whey they went on as you say - holiday. I’ve seen the dark haired guy with glasses in another show.

Ha..  that actually happens in both films.. One they go to Spain and then to Australia.

    In-betweenies was funny.

Yeah that was good (the inbetweeners). They did two films too..

Also one that comes to mind if you can stand Ricky Gervais is one called Extras about a TV/Film extra working his way through the business and each week they would have some super famous person on it as a guest star (the ones making the TV and films hes in)....

I've found the Amazon Alexa thingy can hear me  when I whisper at night "Alexa turn off Jim's light."   And she is considerate enough to do it without the usual somewhat loud  "OK!".   Which caused me to wonder about 2 things:  Can 'she'  (not sure of the proper pronoun) here hear what we're saying even when we think we're being quiet?  AND ...  Is "It"  compiling reams of information on us to create a massive database?

For Example:   "Did you remember to turn off the iron?"     "What is the expiration date on the milk? "     "IF Hallmark starts putting out Christmas movies in the Fall, THEN when will their Halloween movies come out?   Same time Hobby Lobby puts out Halloween decorations?"   "IF prices on 18 year old Irish Whiskey go up due to inflation, THEN how do we define 'inflation' ? "

"Robots are our friends."   I'm repeating that every night after I have 'him' turn out the light... insurance.    Like the Cowardly Lion in  The Wizard of Oz.  "I do believe in spooks."

  11. Not British but Irish  Father Ted

One of my faves in the last decade or so is The League of Gentlemen. Very dark almost Monty Python like in the way theres only a few of them that play all the main character and sometimes dress up as women and its more like a bunch of sketches with a very very loose storyline.. To say it is weird is an understatement.

  12. Alan Partridge..  Theres Knowing me Knowing You which was his first show. Its a fake chat show and then after theres two series of Im Alan Partridge which shows what happens to him after his TV show ends.

Post Blackadder and Only Fools. Partridge has to be one of the funniest characters we have had.

He also has a film called Alpha Papa but only watch that after getting to know who he is.

Red Dwarf is good but is overall much more silly as a comedy. Almost more slapstick but it has its moments and some actual good sci/fi stories (theres been 10 seasons of that).

Ohh.. Also The Day Today..  Man that show was hilarious. Its a fake news reporting show (this also had Steve Coogan who plays Alan Partridge).

And then after this show there was one with the same guy called Brass Eye which was similar to the above but less a news show and more current affairs .
