Yeah but look at those designs.. The corvus is one weird looking guitar and the Firebird X was awful and packed full of useless electronics.. That one I posted above the Less Paul.. Now that is nice. Its like a short horn double cut LP.. I do wonder if they had not put all those electronics in it and just sold it as a normal guitar if it would have done better?

Yes, this is exactly why people are getting worried about it.... In the same way as what happened in the industrial revolution when people lost jobs to machines.. Its going to happen again but this time with more than just manual labour jobs. Now the machines can compete with our creative people too. And the AI is only going to get better as time goes on.

Well I have no real stake in it all any more.. I have the guitars I want. So yeah, I know they wont care about what me or any of us think.. Just talking on the subject... Even though its a bit off topic, I think its why the OP is bored of Vs, cos they have already done everything to death. It is what it is.. But they could do some real simple things to make more unique and interesting guitars. And if they want more sales, I think its an area they are missing out on.

Which is the issue.. I get they have to make money and they went bankrupt under previous management and this is a way to make money. But the problem is as with many other industries is that it stifles creative thinking and ideas beyond who the next signature artist will be.. I mean damn, they are charging $150 for a Slash book.. And thats literally just a book, nothing else. Theres stuff they could do to make things more interesting like use different woods for the tops. They have done stuff like that before, like they had a Zebrawood model, or how about some spalted wood or some Claro Walnut. Theres hundreds of different and interesting woods they could use. And dont make us pay thousands just for that one added extra.. Charge a few hundred on top of the usual price and you offer something unique that people can actually afford. Like How about some new designs? One that I will always remember and think they should really do is that Less Paul. It still looks very Gibson but is different. As it goes I just find Gibson somewhat boring at the moment.

Also this is the thing with this whole AI debate.. Yes of course real people can do what the AI can do. The issue is that it can do it way quicker and a lot cheaper than a real person. And as we all know, the music industry is first and foremost a business. If they can do it cheaper and get away with it, they will. Thats the sad truth and why so many people are getting worried about their jobs. What I dont know is how much the AI did by itself and how much was still maybe mixed or polished off by a person.. If the AI did the whole track, that would be extremely impressive.

Im certainly sick of the cost of the things.. For a fairly basic guitar design (slab body) the cost is crazy.. One of the latest ones is an 80s V at the cost of $2499 which is just silly.. What about the guitar is worth that? (let alone the $15k Hammet one or the $7k Mustaine one). And actually I used to keep a good eye on the Gibson page in the old days.. Since Henry has gone and they have kept the line up basically the same its all got a bit boring. All we get that is really new are artist models that most of us cant even afford, mod shop which are also over expensive and now the new Vintage ones that are (probably) so expensive they dont even advertise the prices.... So I dont look much any more, they mostly seem to be catering to the rich folk.

Im not sure actually.. I have various types.. I do have some mini hummers and a Classic57 with a SD Phat cat P94 type.. Very maybe the mini hummers for the walnut one. I think 🙂 (subject to change).

Yes its a cool guitar.. I actually gave that to my brother in law a couple of years ago for his 50th birthday. He has always raved about it and its like the only guitar he wanted to play when he came over. And am going to build myself a new replacement out of walnut...

No. The point is that they have taken one of Maccas new songs and used AI to make it sound like a Beatles song by adding Johns backing vocals and making Pauls vocals sound younger. Which is evident if you listen to both the tracks posted.

They had quite a range... Like I said, not my favourite band but I like the odd tune here and there.

Its a grower if you ever hear it again. I was working in an office when this came out were we would all take turns playing music.. And someone played that tune nearly every day.

Yeah.. Sorry for your loss man.. I know the feeling all too well. I lost my musical partner also of about 25 years in 2018. He was only 43.. Still not really over it.. I dont think you ever do really get over it but just learn to live with it....

Nice... Yeah, this didnt take long to find. It was on Ebay and seemed to be a key cutting type business... Ohh, I was going to ask actually.. I want to get a nice case for it when its done.. How does it fit in a standard LP case? Or would I be better of with a LP Junior type?
