  1. Also this is the thing with this whole AI debate.. Yes of course real people can do what the AI can do. The issue is that it can do it way quicker and a lot cheaper than a real person. And as we all know, the music industry is first and foremost a business. If they can do it cheaper and get away with it, they will. Thats the sad truth and why so many people are getting worried about their jobs. What I dont know is how much the AI did by itself and how much was still maybe mixed or polished off by a person.. If the AI did the whole track, that would be extremely impressive.
  2. This was posted on Pauls official channel. So it had his blessing at least...... But yeah, its a bit weird. Like the holograms of dead people they sometimes use at gigs these days. But that is way worse than just a recording.

    Flying V Fatigue

Im certainly sick of the cost of the things.. For a fairly basic guitar design (slab body) the cost is crazy.. One of the latest ones is an 80s V at the cost of $2499 which is just silly.. What about the guitar is worth that? (let alone the $15k Hammet one or the $7k Mustaine one). And actually I used to keep a good eye on the Gibson page in the old days.. Since Henry has gone and they have kept the line up basically the same its all got a bit boring. All we get that is really new are artist models that most of us cant even afford, mod shop which are also over expensive and now the new Vintage ones that are (probably) so expensive they dont even advertise the prices.... So I dont look much any more, they mostly seem to be catering to the rich folk.
  4. Im not sure actually.. I have various types.. I do have some mini hummers and a Classic57 with a SD Phat cat P94 type.. Very maybe the mini hummers for the walnut one. I think 🙂 (subject to change).
  5. Well I have several builds going on. All quite slowly but will all be finished eventually. Heres the body and you can see the neck in the background of the second picture.
  6. Yes its a cool guitar.. I actually gave that to my brother in law a couple of years ago for his 50th birthday. He has always raved about it and its like the only guitar he wanted to play when he came over. And am going to build myself a new replacement out of walnut...
  7. No. The point is that they have taken one of Maccas new songs and used AI to make it sound like a Beatles song by adding Johns backing vocals and making Pauls vocals sound younger. Which is evident if you listen to both the tracks posted.
  8. So from the details and what people said in the comments.. This is AI generated to put Johns backing vocals on the track and made Pauls voice a bit younger so it sounds more like a Beatles song.. Interesting
  9. They had quite a range... Like I said, not my favourite band but I like the odd tune here and there.
  10. Its a grower if you ever hear it again. I was working in an office when this came out were we would all take turns playing music.. And someone played that tune nearly every day.
  11. Yup. Damon Albarn.. I was never a huge fan of Blur but that have some good tunes.. Much prefer the Gorillaz stuff.. But yeah this is the first Blur album in many years...
  12. The Narcissist - the first single taken from the new album ‘The Ballad Of Darren’
  13. I did used to have one. But not for long. I never really did get along with the neck shape. But actually what happened to it was that I only had it a few weeks and then I went into the guitar shop and saw a LP I instantly fell in love with.. Rushed home to pick the V up and part exchanged it for this. Dont regret it for a single second
  14. Only interested if its non stick.... Better tone 😄
  15. “Moon River,” recorded not long before Jeff’s tragic passing, is now available on all streaming platforms. This release comes ahead of a series of Jeff Beck tribute shows at Royal Albert Hall in London. The double A-side “Moon River” and new song “How Could We Know” featuring Judith Hill, Simon Climie, and Daniel Santiago will be released on 7" vinyl July 14, 2023.
  16. Yeah.. Sorry for your loss man.. I know the feeling all too well. I lost my musical partner also of about 25 years in 2018. He was only 43.. Still not really over it.. I dont think you ever do really get over it but just learn to live with it....
  17. Yeah, it does look thinner but maybe even too thin as the Juniors dont have a carved top
  18. Well done for clearing all that up
  19. Nice... Yeah, this didnt take long to find. It was on Ebay and seemed to be a key cutting type business... Ohh, I was going to ask actually.. I want to get a nice case for it when its done.. How does it fit in a standard LP case? Or would I be better of with a LP Junior type?
  20. Still no more work done.. Honestly my hands are still playing up.. Which is frustrating.. But its cool in the end. Theres no real timescale or reason to rush.. And the whole thing about me doing this is I have to watch my hands and make sure I dont completely ruin them (havent been able to play guitar either).. BUT I have another couple of bits in. Proper selector switch surround... The guys I got this from say they get it from the same supplier as Gibson, And then another piece of bespokeness. And yes I got a three hole one as it works better with the type of trussrod hole I have I reckon I will be back at it Sunday or Monday.
  21. Yes it is the Greeny.. You can tell by the reversed neck pickup.. Gary really could do it all... Hendrix And even stood in for Clapton
  22. Yeah.. He was awesome.. I got to see BB twice and once was with Gary in support.. Which was a great gig.. Also saw this good one (once they get past Alberts technical issues).. Man, Gary really was such a monster player.
