  1. Saw you are considering the Gibson Homecoming thing in Bozeman next year - last year's gathering was the most fun I have had in a long time - pencil it on your calendar if you can.

  2. Mega congrats! Love hearing from dealers on their views. Will be nice to see you here.
  3. Outstanding ! I am a big fan of simply produced songs - this was terrific - and that D-28 recorded well. You have a great voice.
  4. Anne, love your songs and playing style - well suited to a listen with a fine cup of Mocha. Thanks.
  5. Welcome to the J-35 Club Graham. Not sure there really isa club, but at the rate these seem to be falling off the shelves there ought to be ! Careful with the shoe polish - you're going after the tuners buttons, right? Good luck - I did the coffee thing, ok, I over-did the coffee thing and my bridge pins came out with a wonderful hue of dark-pink. So much so that my wife made a wise crack about 'em. Post a before and after pic !
  6. Nice interlude piece Dman! No lyrics, so your singer got to drink throughout the whole number. Very thoughtful of you two to provide her with a chance to rest the vocal-cords. Standard J-45 with a UST? Sounds good.
  7. Shooter: Welcome to the Gibson Acoustic island ! There's a number of members who adopted that Eagle into their fold - from what I've heard its a standout. Tell us about your guitar, and show us a pic if you can ! http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/11005-sticky-how-to-post-photos/
  8. Welcome to the wondeful world of Gibsons Cajun - every American ought to be issued a J-45 at about age 14. Such an iconic and fun guitar - really sets the standard for a good all-rounder. Post a picture - we're audio / visual nuts. here's how: http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/11005-sticky-how-to-post-photos/
  9. Extra ? I would be very hard-pressed to cull anything out of the current herd.
  10. A few weeks ago I visited Bend, Oregon, was lucky enough to have a tour of the plant arranged, and got to sit in the showroom and play a wall of guitars. The Oregon series was very appealing. If I wasn't at my five guitar limit already, I could have a place for one of these in my stable. Very nice build, good tone, great little guit-box. Built using local Northwest USA woods.
  11. Nice rendition, and that J-45 sounds like its in the hands of a good finger picker - I liked it! Whether you changed your recording environment, the levels on this one are improved over the previous sample.
  12. Welcome to the Gibson Forums FC - Nice guitar find - love it when there is a hunt with success at the end. Gibson Acoustics can be addicting - just so you've been warned.
  13. Nice assortment ! Welcome to the coolest little corner of the internet - quite a nice global community of players, collectors, pros and hacks. I'm a happy hack !
  14. If you take the saddle out and give it a tap or two on a hard surface does it have a tick-tick sound (likely bone) or a thunk thunk sound (likely something other than bone)? I am of the school that different material bridge pins will have no effect on tone, but can dress up a guitar.
  15. Welcome aboard the Gibson Acoustic bandwagon! Couple of nice guitars in your description - are they blondes or brunettes?
  16. Burt Bacharach on an AJ ! Like your style! Excellent
  17. Who's Skip ? Remember that quote "abandon all hope, ye who enter here" Well, this place is better than that place. Show us a guitar ! Here's how : http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/11005-sticky-how-to-post-photos/
  18. That could double as a landing strip for small aircraft ! 1.75 preferred here, 1.82 max. 2 " and I'd have to throw in the towel.
  19. Lots of J-45 love around here - its a gas just pickin' and strummin' even for an audience of one. Welcome to the boards. We're addicted to pictures... would love to see your custom. http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/11005-sticky-how-to-post-photos/
  20. Wow ! That's a fine loking '37 - how wide is that fretboard?
  21. Lots of Banner LG-2 love around here lately... post us a picture ! Here's how: http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/11005-sticky-how-to-post-photos/
  22. sounded good here - especially that last full chord - nice guitar.
  23. Hello High Plains! At the homecoming in Bozeman I played a J-45 TV off the wall at Music Villa. If I didn't already own one, that guitar would have followed me home. Keep up the playing (its a hoot!) and save yer nickels - there's plenty of nice J-45s still being built, perhaps one will have your name on it.
  24. That guitar really records well. Difficult song to keep that tempo and picking going - wonderful performance.
  25. Jason, Norman, Brian - Howdy! Post some pictures when you feel so inclined http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/11005-sticky-how-to-post-photos/ Love to see 'em, and hear all the stories. Welcome aboard gentlemen. Interesting and diverse discussions around here.
