  1. Great T-shirt. I was a journeyman carpenter for 10 years and can relate. 🔨
  2. Well done! I like the wine red very much, too. Congrats!
  3. Nice, the repair looks very good and now you have new gear too. Pretty cool deal. Congrats!
  4. HP is having an unbelievable sale right now. Last night, a friend came to my door and my 110lb. German Shepherd took off towards the door taking my laptop, that was plugged in, with him. Well it broke the charging jack. This is the second time he has done that and it can't be easily fixed. The jack is part of the motherboard and it was cracked the first time. Poor design, IMO. Anyway, if you're thinking about a new computer, I recommend you check out the HP website. This morning, I bought a $1240 laptop for $640!
  5. St. Jude's for me, too, for about 30 years.
  6. I've seen quads a few times but helicopters have always intrigued me. I saw a quad shot down once, from a distance. I heard it outside as it was buzzing around above my backyard. I went outside and noticed it had a camera on it and when I went outside it flew away only to hover over a neighbors backyard. I was still watching it and about a minute later I heard a shot gun blast and down went the quad. Some people around here take their privacy seriously. True story. I haven't seen any remote flying aircraft since and that happened almost two years ago. I never had a remote plane but I had an old school one that ran on fuel and started with a battery. It was controlled by two strings connected to a single handle. When you tilted the top of the handle towards you, the plane climbs and vice versa. You just stand there, going around in circles, until it ran out of gas. Boring, by today's standards, but fun at the time. You could do loops with it and of course you had to have a friend with so you could have some mid-air collisions.
  7. I'm going to record myself playing and singing this morning. I have a horrible voice but maybe I can doctor it up. A LOT!
  8. Those look very cool. When I was a kid, I loved the old TV show Whirlybirds. I never missed an episode and I was convinced I would become a helicopter pilot when I grew up. Well life got in the way and it didn't happen. So, I settled for a flight in one. That didn't happen either. Coincidentally, about a month ago, my 33 year-old son said he was going to rent a 30 minute flight in a helicopter for us on my next birthday! I can pick wherever we fly. Wow!
  9. I've had five of them because colon cancer runs in my family. They always gave me IV sedation about an hour before and put me completely out a minute before the exam started, so the exam was really easy.
  10. Good luck, my friend. The prep is worse than the exam, IMO, because you're out. I hope it turns out well.
  11. I finished doing my income taxes. I'm getting a refund of $560. Yeehaa, at least I don't have to pay! 😂
  12. I've played with the reverb at 10, just for fun, and it's really pretty good. I was thinking about putting in a longer tank but I'm not in any hurry to do that. I usually keep it at 4 - 5. Black Dog - I think this is a really great amp for 1/3 the price of a BJR. It also has power attenuation and an effects loop that the BJR doesn't. And, if you don't like it, return it.
  13. The ME-80 has a pre-amp too but I haven't used it with the SR15 yet. Some things came up today so I didn't get to play. Wow, a second SR15. That's a very good endorsement. I realy like mine too and want to spend more time with it. Tomorrow I should have free time.
  14. Sometimes I play straight into the amp (still searching for that Santana tone) but usually I play through a Boss ME-80. I noticed a wee bit of noise with OD, also. Not enough to complain about though. I did hit quite a bit of noise with one of the ME-80's presets. I was experimenting with presets and when I turned on this one I got an unpleasantly load hum. I didn't make note of which preset it was and what effects it used but most of the lights lit up so it could be a strange combination. I'll see if I can find it again today and let you guys know.
  15. Great to hear how much you like it! I really like mine too. IMO, it's very comparable to the BJR at 1/3 the price.
  16. Congratulations, I'm glad you like it! I really like mine too. I played it a lot over the weekend and dialed in a nice tone with some chorus, delay and reverb using the bridge p-up (57). It's a very cool amp.
  17. I have to admit that I like J. Lo but this wasn't her best performance. She is a talented actress, singer and dancer and she looks really good too. I read somewhere else that Shakira was lip syncing.
