  1. I wasnt aware of the price hike until you posted. Are there still any cheaper 2015 Studios around? (Assuming you don't mind those).
  2. Kid, were/are you looking to buy a LP Studio then? Has this increase made you think otherwise?
  3. Of course, the LP Studio has no voltage regulator!
  4. cheers man. good company!

  5. I have to retract this and appologise to Epi. I was packing cardboard (including the guitar supply box) into my recycling bin today and these items tumbled out of the folded interior sections: 1. User’s Manual - 2. Epiphone Bumper Sticker 3. Epiphone 2-Sided Poster 4. eSonic/eSonic-2 User’s Manual – 5. Truss Rod Adjustment Wrench – I like the poster best. I may hang it in my studio. The 'wrench' is an Allen key that will go into my tool drawer (I have many of these). The sticker? Don't know! yet...
  6. I think I've located the grease nipples on my guitar. One at the lower bout end and another where the neck attaches.
  7. I bought one 2 days ago and I didn't get any of that stuff.
  8. Journey to Recife - A jazz tune I have to learn. I am helping out a band that just lost their guitarist and they want to be able to play a music festival in Sept 15. I have a lot of material to learn and am not exactly a 'proper' jazz guitarist. Though I will have advanced some after learning this type of stuff I think.
  9. Ive just checked another forum (2011) that says pretty much the same thing.
  10. The Epiphone Florentine is just such a ES style LP. I tried one of these at Andertons when I bought my ES-339 this year. Had the ES-339 disapointed me I would have brought the Florentine home. It was sweet. The only weight is from the center block on which the pups are mounted. http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Les-Paul/Ltd-Ed-Les-Paul-Standard-Florentine-PRO.aspx
  11. Ebony can be lighter in colour. Luthiers & carpenters all grade wood. Sometimes a different grade will show a coarser grain or a hue variation. I have 4 ebony fingerboard guitars. When I bought the last one I was convinced it was rosewood (it didnt help that the pickguard & tailpiece cover were black ebony). Only by careful inspection could I tell by the grain that it was really ebony. This was confirmed by the shop and later by the luthier who did the set up for me. I concur that the pictures of rosewood shown here dont look like ebony. The grain is the best indicator.
