GibsonWarrior
Thought i'd post a pic of my Terada made Casino, its a pre Elite/Elitist Japanese homemarket Casino from '89, not seen many in this colour- a sort of Royal Tan.

Jayyj
I think that's the nicest burst I've seen on a post '69 Casino - lovely!
GibsonWarrior
I think that's the nicest burst I've seen on a post '69 Casino - lovely! Cheers Jayyj, its actually more red in person, the darker almost black outline isnt really visible to the naked eye. Very similar to Paul Wellers '66 Casino. eor
that is a handsome instrument, indeed. what is the nut width? what does the neck feel like? is it a hog or maple neck?
GibsonWarrior
that is a handsome instrument, indeed. what is the nut width? what does the neck feel like? is it a hog or maple neck? Its a slim neck like the USA/MIJ Lennon models as opposed to the slightly chunkier Elitist neck which is more like my old '67 Casino. Its mahogany 3 piece neck, I will have to measure the nut, again it feels similar to the Lennon and slightly smaller at the nut than the Elitist. clarkuss
Beautiful. There have been a couple of really nice Japanese Market casinos on ebay uk in the last couple of months. They always seem to come along at the wrong time for me.

Is this the same guitar that Jonny-2-owls used to own, and put up on ebay (U.K.) recently? I would hazard a guess that the neck is actually a 3 piece Maple one, as most of the Matsumoku and Terada made(Pre-Elitist) Casino`s are. Congrats on the Casino and enjoy . Steve. jonny_2_owls
Yep it's the same guitar. Sad to see it go but still loving the Riviera. Glad it's gone to a good home!

Will have a closer look, its quite a dark walnut colour so its hard to see the grain through.... Yep it's the same guitar. Sad to see it go but still loving the Riviera.
