duluthdan
Not in the know, but I wonder which market they figure will line up for this? I would have thought that there would have been some better profit margins and pinnache in getting one or two of the JT banner re-issue ideas in production. Matters
I believe it's a pretty small run. Played one the other day and it was great. Lots of bass, very loud. It is long scale so ignore the website on that detail. Matt
rar
I believe it's a pretty small run. I seem to remember Don saying that these short runs of "interesting" models comprise 50 instruments. Perhaps not coincidentally, that's about the number required to ensure that every Five-Star dealer who wants one can get one. -- Bob R
roughdiamond
mmm...looking for a nice long scale. Now I think with nice ebony or madi finger board/ bridge (maybe with the firebird's bracing pattern) and they could of got this one possibly right to really give the others a run for the money... MissouriPicker
But if they had changed the bracing, etc., it wouldn't be a J60. I admit, it's sometimes difficult to follow "the" Gibson logic trail in regards to production runs, but they do appear to sell most every guitar they make. And for me, I like the Firebird as well. Just wish they'd knock around a grand off the price. Beautiful guitar. The fire inlay is pretty cool. Only seen and heard one of them. Sounded very good. Great voice.
