Karloff you did a great job with your Avatar. I too am a Boris Karloff ("the gentle monster") fan.

Do you remember the produced series he was host of that never went on the air? It was called 'The Veil'. Amazon has it.

...sorry for the diversion...back to movie quotes!

Hey, SB , yes I do. I have the dvds...lol

Don't watch many movies, even old ones, any more. Ain't really got the time.

But...

How 'bout one I have on my backup zip drive that goes "on" nearly always whenever I'm on the computer when I wish a bit of contrariness.

"Fill your hand, you S..O..B.."

Yupper...

It ain't the classiest line in ways... in other ways it is.

If one wishes to be somewhat more erudite, here's one of my favorite lines... appropriate not so much today in wartime, but almost certainly in corporate contretemps:

"I am a bastard too; I love bastards: I

am a bastard begot, bastard instructed, bastard

in mind, bastard in valour, in every thing illegi-

timate. One bear will not bite another, and

wherefore should one bastard? Take heed, the

quarrel's most ominous to us: if the son of a

whore fight for a whore, he tempts judgment.

Farewell, bastard. [Exit.

Or one that, in metaphor at least, should hit guitar pickers... it's just that it's an odd metaphor and the larger piece whence it came is a huge allegory for the love of guitar.

In dem wogenden Schwall,

in dem tönenden Schall,

in des Welt-Atems

wehendem All ---

ertrinken,

versinken ---

unbewußt ---

höchste Lust!

Were I a lit teacher 'stedda an old country scrivener, I'd ask not only the origin of the quote, but then also how it might fit an allegory of the guitar player's life...
