onewilyfool
Last night I traded for a Deeing Deluxe 6…a six string banjo/guitar, and it is just a gas to play!!! PLUS, I don't have to learn ANOTHER instrument…lol…..Here are the specs! http://www.deeringbanjos.com/products/deluxe-6-string-banjo?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=371607541&gclid=CN_n4pKPrsICFYuVfgod1b8ABg
BluesKing777
That's pretty cool, isn't it? Dah da dah dah dah dah dah da daaaaaaahhh.... Is that a new idea - first I've heard of a guitar neck Banja? (One of the jokes on AG the other day: "What's the best pickup for a banjo?...................Ford F150". BluesKing777. j45nick
My first $5 Mexican guitar sounded a lot like a banjo, particularly since I put steel strings on a guitar designed for nylon strings. Look at all the money I saved!
Rambler
Fun. Here's a tune to learn: Rev Gary-- Baby Let Me Lay It Own You.
j45nick
Fun. Here's a tune to learn: Rev Gary-- Baby Let Me Lay It Own You. For many of us, better known by the Von Schmidt/Van Ronk/Dylan recordings as "Baby, let me follow you down". Been playing that sucker for more than 45 years, and still do. stein
As usual….your support is greatly appreciated! You have that AND our appreciation. You would actually have to buy a LOT of Taylors before we would consider loosing respect for you. But seriously, if you could just not play this in the morning. Appreciate it. onewilyfool
I put this six string banjo in open "D" tuning, and have been having a lot of fun with it. Just noodling around with it, I can get it to sound like a back ground track for, say. a Ken Burns Civil War documentary……OR…..Flatting and shaping some notes, I can get it to sound like an Indian Raga-type of music….Next I'll try some blues. REALLY interesting sound!!
