brrobert
I was going to say Revolver era George Harrison too, though its hard not to love BOC... Here is George playing his SG on Paperback Writer/Rain in a couple of very cool mid 60's Beatles promo videos: Paper Writer and Rain
Guitar slinger
And still Paperback Writer main riff sounds so much like a Casino. And so does a lot of parts of Rain... Damn... I wish I could know EVERYTHING there is to know about Beatles.
brrobert
Yeah, its hard to tell them apart at points. I hear more SG in Paperback Writer than Rain....
Swmcv2007
My friend actually has a Beatle's Gear Book which is AWESOME. George used his SG on pretty much all of Revolver. And still Paperback Writer main riff sounds so much like a Casino. And so does a lot of parts of Rain... Thats because McCartney did play the riff to Paperback Writer and he used a Casino. I'm not sure about Rain but I think that was the SG. When I use the bridge pickup with the volume rolled down a little bit, paired with a little distortion I can get the Rain sound perfectly. freddairy
If that's an SG on the Beatles "And You're Bird Can Sing" than that gets my vote. Aside from that I gotta go with the ever popular Crossroads Wheel's of Fire.

brrobert
After Revolver era George Harrison, I really like Sister Rosetta Tharpe's use of the SG: Didn't It Rain
guitarmaniac4796
when Angus Young does the solo on "Let there be Rock"during a live show, it is INSANE. i went to see AC/DC, Angus must've solod for 20 minutes. it was crazy. he would stop, the crowd would shout for more, and he would solo more. weirdly enough he doesn't use his signature SG , or even the sweet SG that you can see in the pictures that come with BLACK ICE, which has lightning bolt inlays.
