Californiaman Posted January 23, 2009 Share Posted January 23, 2009 Hey Bluezboy: I saw Mato Nanji of Indigenous at the Experience Hendrix Tour Nov. 2 at the Greek Theater in Los Angleles. The guy was very impressive. He held his own with the likes of Buddy Guy, Brad Whitford, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Eric Gales and a host of other great guitarists. I listened to those guys this week and I was shocked. Aside the high-tech-modded guitar things, his riffs were SO like mines... I felt threatened. Very good band. Kinda new I think. I'm kinda sucky at detecting sarcasm, so i'll throw that in there to start, but Muse, a kinda new band? They're huge! They've been round since the early 90's! Amazing band!
