CherryRedRocker
I'm not looking to do this anytime soon, so it's just a stupid question. Say I removed the little plastic plate b/w the neck pickup and fret #22, chipped off whatever finish was there, and glued a correctly shaped piece of rosewood with two frets and an inlay in it (I guess I'd also have to carve the little area below fret #22) and sealed it (Would I need to do that? No idea at all...), how would that work out?
kidblast
my thoughts only.. unless one were extremely gifted in the task of wood working and had all the proper time and tools, etc, I can't see a happy ending anywhere in sight..
pippy
"Is it possible?..." - Yes. "Is it advisable?..." - No. Pip.

Agreed, don't do it. If you have to ask a message board about it, I can't see this ending well.
Johnny3j
Sell your Epiphone G400 and buy a 24 fret Epiphone Prophecy SG EX instead They look to be the same $$$ value.

Dennis G
And the benefit is? I own a PRS Mira that's 24 frets, and to be honest, I just don't use them. Agree with others who've posted along the lnes of "I don't see this ending well." My two cents anyway. Best answer so far has to be Johnny(3)'s. Jeffytune
Or the Tony Iommi if you like.... But this CAN be done, but it really shouldn't be done.
gearhead
Or look for a Gibson SG1, they have a single humbucker (500T), tune-o-matic/stop bar, and a 24 fret neck. Saw one on CL for $300 recently.
