The intonation has been off for hundreds of years, so that is what we are accustomed to hearing. The perfectly intonated sounds a little weird because it is different from what we've heard most of our playing lives. Nothing wrong with having this system, but if all of my guitar idols didn't need it I don't think I do either. Sometimes what you don't know won't hurt you.
