bscott
I think Gibson is trying to find a way to sell some products. Maybe this is a attempted' date=' just like the holy explorer.[/quote'] In a thread on a different BB (Bluestalk) one knowledgeable insider is covering this and other GC sold Gibson models. It seems that GC has an agreement with Gibson that they can order and spec any guitar they want to sell - with the Gibson name on it. A lot of these guitars are not built to Gibson specs but GC can specify that the models be made with different wood (cheaper), different PUPS (cheaper) and different necks (cheaper). GC sells them at Gibson prices but they are not made to Gibson specs. Buyer beware!!! Apparently Gibson is now trying to get out of the deal specifically because of this issue.
