looking for something different

I suggested Martin as something different as opposed to adding another Spruce Top, Mahogany Back & Sides Guitar with a similar Sound to the Guitars the OP already has….

I have a wonderful Acoustic Electric Gibson Bozeman Masterbilt J-160E with P90 which, IMO, is the top sounding Round Shoulder Gibson Acoustic Guitar I’ve ever played… Spruce & Mahogany..

I also own an Acoustic Electric 1975 Martin D-35 which is a fantastic sounding Guitar but it has a totally different Sound… Spruce & Rosewood..

Now I’m considering another Acoustic Electric Guitar but something different than either of the above… I’m thinking about a Guitar with Maple Top, Sides & Back.. Or maybe one with Spruce top & Maple back & sides.. A completely different Sound than my Gibson & Martin…

Best of luck with your Search…..

So to swing this forum back around to where it started, I'm seriously considering an LG-2.  Have my eyes on a couple on Reverb--one's a just barely used 50s LG-2 in natural and the other is a 2013 custom shop LG-2 in all mahogany.  Have been reading some reviews of it and folks either love it ("it's so mellow and beautiful") or hate it ("it's to mellow and flat"), and am curious if any of you have played/owned one of these.

Potential dark horse in the running is a Martin 00017E in black smoke.  Love the tuxedo look.

That's a beautiful guitar--great sound.  Hmmm...that CS all hog is looking better and better to me.  Seems a bit overpriced at 2999, but I'm not sure what they should be going for these days.

Does seem about 1k too high. Seems like everyone is trying to cash in on the shortage. Personally I would pay that much for it. If it’s on Reverb you can always make an offer.
