Bought this brand new Gibson sg almost a week ago and it came with this strange cosmetic issue. Has anyone seen this kind of defect before? My guess i that the surface is uneven but u cant feel it with your finger.

Are you saying you actually have the guitar already, and the defect is there, or you've only seen it in this photo?

Just wondering why you didn't post a picture of the actual guitar.

That looks like a picture of a monitor with the guitar in question on the screen.

The "defect" looks like it's part of the edge of a white table, or something in the reflection of where the photo was taken.

Some up close photos of the actual guitar would help if you have possession of it.

Yeah, still wondering why no picture of the actual guitar if it's in the OP's possession.

When they said, "My guess is that the surface is uneven but u cant feel it with your finger", it sounded as if maybe they were quoting the posting for the instruments sale.

If they had the guitar in hand, they wouldn't have to guess.
