Is this one real?

I bought a Nickle classic 57 plus 9k pickup on November2023 and got this package which is plastic box and mark “double black” behind the box as show in the picture. Behind the pickup i see sticker showing 01/21/22 106285

Double Black refers to the bobbins the pickups are wound on

notice There is a Zebra check box  next to it the double black , meaning you can get zebra bobbins as an option 

you’d have to take the chrome pickup cover off to see the bobbins

Double Black bobbins covered  by a Nickel cover.

The cover is obvious, so they describe the bobbins underneath.

I’m not suggesting to take the covers off, you can damage the windings if done wrong

Today there are many Chinese classic 57 replica pickup in the market, so my concern is not overthinks. If you know the way to check if that pickup is not fake, please let me know.

If in doubt you could contact Gibson with the photo's and serial number, they may be able to put you mind at rest.

I would say, yes.

I've purchased official Gibson pickups in the past that have come in the plastic box style package.

I guessing the new packaging is more environmentally friendly.
