I don't think having gay parents will mess you up, if they can raise a kid normally without being inappropriate about their sexuality (which applies to straight parents too) they should be able to adopt. But there are other factors, that I don't think most people have thought of, kids are cruel, really, really cruel. It might not be the gay parents that mess the kid up, it might be the kids that abuse them about it on a regular basis, seeing 2 dads holding hands picking their kid up from school might be very bad for the kids social life. And as we get more and more tolerant (I hate that word but I can't think of anything better to use) of gays I think that a gay family might not be an uncommon thing in the not too distant future. But for now I would say it is probably not such a hot idea... P.S. sorry if that was totally incoherent, I just sorta started typing, and I don't really care enough to go through and edit it.
