jimmiJAMM
Hey guys, just trying to figure out which what this dude from The Shins is playing. Never seen one quite like it. We love a good Gibson mystery around here. Judging from the box fret inlays it must be a 70's Norlin era walnut model but there's also an extra smaller switch and something mounted back behind the Schaller long travel bridge, not sure what it is. Looks like a custom finish and the lack of a pick guard's a nice touch. Thanks!

BigKahune
Yep. A Guild S-100 I think. Can't tell the year. Guild started them in the mid-60s and I think they stopped making them in 1999 or 2000. Cool look. <edit> Here's a link to a nice pic on Wikipedia of all places: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guild_s-

GuitarJunkie
Judging from the box fret inlays it must be a 70's Norlin era walnut model... Judging from the Guild logo on the headstock, I'd say it's a Guild. :-/

Cool look. This. They have a Strat-esq body contour on the rear so it doesn't jam into your ribs.
