Rolling Stone's Best Song of the Decade

Disclaimer: I'm 43 years old and fully admit that I'm out of touch with what is current and cool. I read some music publications now and then when I see a cover on the magazine rack that looks interesting (usually there's a picture of Megan Fox) and do make a point of at least flipping to some of the pop and more modern music stations to see if there's something I might enjoy and sometimes there is. So, I'm not completely out of touch.

#1 Song of the Decade:

 

It's a good song, it really is; it's catchy and it grooves. But is this really the best song anybody could write in the last TEN YEARS?

I guess I'm out of touch also. But there is only 2 or 3 songs I have even heard of, and the rest I would more than likely change the station if it did come up.

I'm surprised the Jonas Brothers didn't make that list.

The sad part of the implications of the best of the 2000, is that is how this time period will be remembered 10, 20, 30 years from now as representative of this decade.

I have to say that I think the last ten years has been great- and I enjoyed being reminded of the songs that have adorned mainstream music this last decade- now is good[biggrin]

 

Not a bad selection by any means[cool]
