There are many groups we don't hear much about anymore. I saw them live in about 1972 in NYC And if i recall correctly (my memory is hazzy about those years) they were the under bill for James Gang. That was a great night. Real Rock & Roll.

I generally tend to include Blue Cheer, Frijid Pink, Toe Fat, CCR, Canned Heat, and Free (and a few other groups) into this sort of category--really stripped-down, heavy blues-rock. I like the way Rocketman described it.

 

Just get your axes out and play. It was that simple but it worked so well for bands like this. Smokin'...
